The prices of houses and land in Bulgaria right now is very cheap reflecting the general condition of the houses for sale there. Expect to find a cheap property without inside toilet but with a garage for your car. Most houses have large gardens called yards and are in Bulgarian villages that have a lot of slightly derelect properties. To renovate a house in Bulgaria is also relatively cheap, inexpensive builders can renovate the house in no time!
Telephone and communications are being invested in big time, making internet connection and cheap phone calls, including cheap phone calls via mobile phones, accessible to everyone. The prices of internet connection in Bulgaria varies from around £10 equivalent per month upto around £50 per month. Satellite TV and satellite internet are widely available and again the prices are cheap enough for most people to afford this luxury. I currently use Globul satelite internet card in my laptop computer, it gives me 1000MB of data transfer each month (upload and download are counted) and it costs 66 leva per month, plus VAT - 77 leva per month for satelite internet wherever I am in Bulgaria! The reception of the satelite card is excellent and so far I have only found a couple of dark spots where the card wont work! Also I am online a lot and so far this month, August, I have used around 150MB of my 1000MB allowance! So probably I could have got away with selecting a lower price package!
Car rentals start from around £12 per day - the car rentals company I used was the Sikon Group
The Bulgarian language is a difficult language to learn, so to make the process of buying your home in Bulgaria as smooth as possible, it is comforting to have the help of a Bulgarian Estate agents that come highly recommended by an English expat! With over 17000 properties currently for sale, they will bend over backwards to help you during the daunting task of buying a property abroad to help your investment go as smoothly as possible.
